SWU's Wimphrie Wins 300th Career Game

Southern Wesleyan University men’s basketball coach Charles Wimphrie won his 300th career basketball game on Thursday after his Warriors defeated Voorhees College, 120-96.

Coach Wimphrie is in his 19th season as a head basketball coach at SWU, his first two years spent leading the women’s team. Wimphrie finished his college career at SWU in 1982 and began coaching at his alma mater in 1991. A highlight from Coach Wimphrie’s coaching career includes earning a berth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national tournament in the 2005-06 season.
